Jean Shafiroff, philanthropist, TV host and author, celebrated her birthday with a crowd of well-wishers at her residence in New York City in Honor of American Red Cross and the victims of the California fires. To honor New York Fashion Week she wore four different outfits from designers including, Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera, Victor dE Souza and Malan Breton.

Notable attendees included: Jean Shafiroff, Candace Bushnell, Jon Ledecky (owner of the New York Islanders), Consul General of Italy to the United Nations Fabrizio di Michele and his wife Giorgio De Parolis, Julia Haart, Ruth LaFerla, Bianca Lopez, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Doreen Howe, Jose Domingue, Angel Pai, fashion designers Victor dE Souza , Jason T. Busch, Maryanne Grisz, CD Greene, Nabys Vielman, Ron Dyce, Cyril Verdavainne, and Fern Clausius.












Doreen Howe, Regional CEO of the American Red Cross spoke at the event and Jean gave a passionate speech about how devastating the California fires were and asked guests to donate instead of giving her a gift. Jean Shafiroff also pledged a generous contribution.

A Catholic, Jean served on the board of the Jewish Board for 28 years and now is one of their honorary trustees.
